April Goals.

Unfortunately, no cute little graphics to show off my goals for this month. Instead, that picture is why I haven't been around these parts .... I've been working my ass off. That was my first day off in many, many moons and I celebrated hard. But, I can get into that later.

April is going to be the month of getting back on track. The fun times are over. The adjustment period is over. This month is all about figuring out the tough stuff and finding a way to make important to me work.

April's Goals:
1) Run 25 miles.
This one is incredibly important. I haven't made time for running lately and I can feel it. My back hurts. I'm restless. Running is a huge part of who I am and I need to force some time for it.

2) Blog every day.
Well, 5 days a week -- my usual posting schedule. This blog is something that I cherish and I've worked so hard on. And lately, I've let it fall by the wayside. No more! My blog is going to get some special treatment this month and I have huge plans. Stay tuned.

3) Hike! And Bike!
I need to spend more time outside when I am actually off work. I haven't been biking in so long and I miss it so much.

4) Read 2 books.
I'm not going to get all crazy and make huge reading promises, but I think I can handle two books. Especially because one of those books will be the third and final book of the Hunger Games series.

5) Stay on budget.
I've been really good lately, but I need to stick a little closer to my budget this month. Suddenly, I have a disposable income, but that is no excuse for disposing of it.

6) Start couponing again.
I feel so accomplished when I save money and I just have avoided the grocery store for two months because I haven't been cutting any coupons. I have a mountain of them on my desk that I need to go through. If this is truly that important to me, I need to make an effort.

So there you have it. I want to make time for the things that are important to me. I've used this excuse of "I'm still adjusting" for two months now and I need to finally adjust. This is my new schedule and I need to make due with it.

February Goals.

 photo FebruaryGoals_zps0f423f02.png

Some fairly straight forward things I want to get done in February. In addition to starting my new job, I'm really looking forward to get back on track with running and eating healthy. I think my new schedule will allow me more time to fit running in.

As for instagramming, I feel like I've been lacking in the picture department lately and I want to step up my game.

And of course, I want to hike Camelback before it becomes too unbearably hot. Will Mike and I even survive? It's one of the more challenging hikes in the area.

OCTOBER GOALS AND SEPTEMBER GOALS RECAP.

 photo PA020473_zps17e13dd5.jpg
Well, shit. This is late.

SEPTEMBER GOALS RECAP:
1) Stick to my budget. FAIL. Also, lol. Did I honestly think that was going to happen?

2) Run 20 Miles. FAIL. 15.6 miles. I started doing really terrible at the end of the month.

3) Bike 50 miles. FAIL. 37.

4) Apply for 20 jobs and Get Interview??? FAIL.

5) Sign up for Hot Chocolate 5K. FAIL - ish. I signed up for the Oktoberfest 5K instead and I'll be running that this upcoming weekend.

Wow. September was not a good month for me and it's actually really depressing to see all my shortcomings right in front of me.

OCTOBER GOALS: (Let's see if I can handle any of these).
1) Run 20 miles.
I do have a 5K coming up and I really want to do better at the Hot Chocolate 5K so training is necessary. I've been slacking a lot lately because I haven't been feeling well, but I need to get over it and just run.

2) Go Hiking!
Mike and I both dropped some serious bank on hiking shoes and we've used them .... once. Now that the weather is getting better, we need to go for a hike. Or a few of them. It won't kill us. I hope.

3) Seriously, Apply for Some Damn Jobs.
Looking at my resume makes me cry, but I need to suck it up and keep applying or I'll never find anything.

4) Figure Out a Halloween Costume.
I keep telling Mike that I want to go as Peg and Al Bundy, but we'll see what happens. I just wanna look good even though we have no solid plans.

5) Stay on Track About Cutting Out the Dairy and Keep Up with my Dairy Diary.
I've been really bad at this one. The other night, I got wasted and had both a grilled cheese (DELICIOUS, btw) and a cheese crisp, that I dropped multiple times before giving up on it. Dairy is really messing up my stomach and that's why I feel bad and I don't run.

6) Stop Going Over My Calories.
I haven't even been tracking my calories for the past two weeks and then I'm wondering why I don't feel well. Because I keep eating junk food. I need to stop and stick with the plan that was working for me. I lost 16 pounds since I started and I know I can do more. I just need to stick with it and not get distracted.

September Goals and August Recap.

AUGUST GOALS RECAP:
1) Go to the gym at least three times a week -- FAIL.
I tried, but I've had more bad days than good this month and it makes it hard to motivate myself to go to the gym. I have been running a lot more in the evenings though.

2) Run 15 miles -- PASS.
15.5 miles to be exact!

3) Stick to my new budget -- FAIL.
This was a huge fail. I created a more comprehensive budget for next month and I'm going to work really hard on this goal again.

4) Bike 50 miles -- FAIL.
38 miles. Since most of my bike riding happens on the weekends, going out of town last weekend didn't help.

5) Work towards paying off my credit card debt -- FAIL.
That whole not following my budget thing really screwed me over on this one.

6) Apply for 20 jobs -- FAIL.
Definitely didn't hit 20.

7) Sign up for a 5K -- FAIL.
Not enough money to pay for it.

SEPTEMBER GOALS:

1) Stick to My New Budget.
For real. I want that ending number to be in the black at the end of September.

2) Run 20 miles.

3) Bike 50 miles.

4) Apply for 20 jobs and Get an Interview???

5) Sign Up for the Hot Chocolate 5K!

AUGUST ... Time To Get My Shit Together.

I really dropped the ball in July. I stopped working out regularly. I stopped eating well. I mean, I can excuse it because I had a lot of things going on, but I'm ready to move past and get everything back in order now. July was a bust, so I'm ready to make August worthwhile.

Here are my goals for August:

-  Go to gym at least 3 times a week. Ideally, I'd like to go five, but let's aim for 3.
- Run 15 miles. Total, for the entire month. I know it doesn't seem like a lot, but I'm trying here.
- Stick to my new budget.
- Bike 50 miles.
- Work towards paying off my credit card debt.
- Apply to 20 jobs.
- Sign up for a 5K.

I feel like everything is totally doable. And more importantly, here's hoping August isn't as terrible as July.
