- Stick to my budget.
The reason this is always so hard for me is that I get so excited at the beginning of the month with my budget and by the middle of the month, it becomes a chore to keep updating it, and by the end of the month, I have no idea where my money is.
My goal for 2013 is to utilize my budget every month and keep track of my spending.
This relies on that first goal. How can you save your money if you have no idea where it's going? I want to just add money to that savings account all year. I've written about my Spending Diet (which currently isn't going too well), but I want to actually stick to that in 2013.
I was doing so well running and then it just stopped. I want to start running 3x a week and walk 4x and then slowly build my running up. I love running, but I just get busy around the house and I never want to go when it's dark.
2013 is going to be full of running though.
- See my doctors.
I've been postponing my eye doctor visit for a while now. And, I can't really see. I have the insurance - I just need to force myself to go.
- Eat better.
:( I think that's enough said on that.
- Keep up my blog.
I've really enjoyed creating my blog and writing. It's exciting. I want to continue and expand throughout 2013. I'd love to get more readers and do guest posts on other blogs (If you're interested, let me know!). Maybe even sponsor some blogs that I enjoy reading. I hope that in 2013, I find my groove with my blog because now I feel like it's such a hodge-podge, but I guess that's what my life is all about anyway.
- Keep reading books.
One of my 23 for 23 goals is to read 50 books by my next birthday. I definitely think I'll be able to do that, but I just want to keep on track.
- Study for the GRE's.
I started this too and then it seems like life got in the way and I stopped, but I've always thought about grad school and I can't really get there unless I start studying. Even if I just did 15 minutes a day with flashcards for vocabulary, I'd be happy.
This is always on my to-do list every year and as much as I do travel, I'm always disappointed at the end of the year. In 2011, I travelled around Arizona a little bit (going to Sedona and Prescott), New York, Boston, Florida, and Vegas. Not a bad year. As for 2012, I went to Tucson for the first time, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. I love going to new places and I'm always happiest when I have a trip planned.
- Find a way to be happy.
I think that's pretty self-explanatory, but I really want to be happy in 2013. I have a lot of big things planned and I'm hoping that it will find me some sort of peace.
